Maddie: "Mommy!"
Me: "What?"
Maddie: "Mommmmmmyyyyyy!!"
Me: "What, Maddie?!"
Maddie: "Mommy!"
Me: "Maddie, stop calling my name.  You don't need anything."
Lena: "Mommy!"
Me: "WHAT?!?!"
Lena: "Mommy, I need everything."

I found the girls pretending to take a nap in our tub one morning.  They had some toys that they were sharing.  They were playing so well together I hated to make them get out and get dressed so we could run our errands.
Chris' newest project is making birdhouses.  Here is a photo of his latest one.  It is on the edge of our property.  I don't think any birds live in it yet.
I found M and L sleeping like this at nap time today.  I heard them playing quietly for about twenty minutes before it was silent in their room.  They had most of their pillows and stuffed animals crammed in the foot of space between Lena's bed and the wall.  It was a trick for me to try to drag them out of there without waking them up.  They both weigh about 35 pounds now, so on top of the extra weight I am already carrying it is quite a load.  Somehow we managed, and they took the longest nap they have in a while (almost two hours for Maddie, and two and a half for Lena).

Welcome to the world, Jackson Dean!  This is our sweet baby nephew that was born on Friday, March 18.  He weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz. and was 22 inches long.  Congratulations to my bro David and his wife Laurie!  Apparently he looks just like his daddy, dimples and all.

Of course we have already been to the zoo a couple times this year, but I don't want to bore you with those pictures already!  Last week we went with our buddies- The Moorefields.  It is tough to get a good picture of five kids!
Later in the week we went to a newer park that we had never been to before with our neighbors.  Colleen and I took the girls and her son Andrew (he is exactly a year younger than M and L).  There was so much for the kids to climb on and play with that even after an hour and a half they weren't ready to leave.  I think the girls' favorite toy was the instruments.  Lena ended up turning the stick into a microphone and belting out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  She is quite the performer.

If I weren't incredibly pale, would you be able to tell which picture is from this pregnancy and which was from the twins?  I am 30 weeks pregnant in the first shot and 31 weeks in the second.  I added the third so you can see that I already feel as though I am going to pop.  Nine more weeks, really?!

The temp was in the mid 50s this afternoon, so before running to the store we spent a little time drawing outside.  Somehow I purchased the absolute messiest chalk, and even the kids were reluctant to use it.  It looked cool, but the bold colors rubbed of on everything.  Maddie is already super particular about her hands being dirty, so she didn't want much to do with it.  M and L mostly ran around the front yard chasing each other and Max.
I had my 30 week ultrasound last Friday.  The pictures turned out horrible, but we could see exactly what was going on when we were in the doctor's office.  I think they need to change their ink cartridge, so I won't even bother scanning them.  After measuring the baby's head and abdomen the ultrasound tech started asking Chris and I what we weighed at birth.  He said according to the measurement of the femur that my due date seems accurate, but she is already a big baby.  She currently weighs 4 lbs. 3 oz.   An average 30 week old weighs in at 3 lbs.  He said if I delivered at full term he would expect her to be 8 1/2 lbs.  This is the first time I have been relieved to be having a c-section.  However, I think she will make an early appearance.

Saturday morning Chris and I took the girls to The Works in Newark, OH.  It is a small educational museum, and they have a great little play area for toddlers.  We spent most of our time letting M and L explore the Farmer's Market, color pictures, pretend to paint, play dress up, and put on the hand puppets.  We stopped at the "cheeseburger's house" (McDonald's) on the way home for lunch.  The last picture is from after nap time- which, by the way, I think Maddie is abandoning.  She is really into dressing up, so she is in her fairy costume.
