Mom's bday with our favorite cake from Golden Delight Bakery.  It is the cake that Chris and I had at our wedding, and we typically use every excuse to go buy one.

LOOK! Mom gave us gum to try to entertain us while we waited for the animal show to start...and it worked.  We swallowed it about five minutes later.  We ask for it every day since then, but she just won't give it to us.
 Jolie loved the zoo.
Lunch time!  All three girls were so good that we stayed at the zoo for almost four hours.  I had to feed Jolie in the van before we drove home, but it was by far our best trip this summer.
M and L's favorite spot at the zoo- the fake boat across from the manatee tank.
Our sweet baby hanging out with the big girls on the deck.
Maddie did a real number on her lip last night.  She was running in the yard, tripped, and bounced her face off the ladder to the tree house.  She was bleeding everywhere.  Approximately 30 seconds later Lena fell off the swing and bloodied her lip, too.  It was a good five minutes of chaos.  A popsicle cured Lena, but Maddie insisted on a band aid.  The cut is mostly on the inside of her lip, so Chris improvised and put it on so it looked like a mustache.  She was satisfied and told us it felt better.  Poor thing.  She is looking a little better today.

My mom came for an impromptu visit week before last.  She had some free time to herself, and Maddie asked on the phone if she could come over...so she did!  We just hung out around the house and took the girls to Easton one afternoon to see the fountains.  I love that she has the summers off.

M and L continue to dote on Jolie.  I found Lena sharing her blanket and cuddling with her a few days ago.

Just playing around with the camera.  My two little helpers insisted I take their photo, too.  Maddie was even imitating Jolie.

Clearly, these are not the most attractive pictures, but I think it will be fun for the girls to look back and have a laugh at how big my stomach got.  The last shot is about an hour before Jolie was born.
Jolie had her one month checkup yesterday.  I had our babysitter come watch Maddie and Lena while I took her.  I can only imagine how they would have reacted when the doctor gave her a shot!  They would have both started yelling at him to stop.  Jolie took it like a champ though- just a few seconds of crying and she was fine.  I think I would have fussed more than she did.  She is doing fantastic- she eats well, she sleeps well, and she loves to cuddle.  She is growing like a weed.  It is unbelievable how much bigger she already seems.  Time is moving way too fast!  Here are her stats:
10 pounds, 3 ounces (75%- 90%)
23 inches long (98%)

Maddie and Lena are really into making funny faces...and eating ice cream.

Happy (really belated) birthday, Grandpa P!  Since Chris's parents were here for the weekend, we finally got around to celebrating his dad's birthday- we were only about a month late.  It was a good reason to have cake, give a gift, and celebrate life...and our kids just love a party!

Can you believe she was in there just four short weeks ago??
