Waiting
We are spending our day waiting for dad to get home. I turned on football so the girls would have a normal Saturday. As most of you know, Chris works in retail. Now that Christmas season is officially in full swing, we will be seeing a little less of him. The long, long hours are pretty exhausting, and it usually makes the season a little less enjoyable. Hopefully this year goes smoothly, and we can really enjoy our first Christmas as a family!

A Happy Thanksgiving
Beautiful Thanksgiving table
Remember this guy? You don't see him in many pictures, because he has been at Grandma and Grandpa Parmentar's since I went into labor. What a sweet puppy! One day we will bring you home, Max (as soon as you stop trying to snatch food off the counter when you think no one is looking...oh, and stop eating rolls of toilet paper).
Happy Maddie!

Good girls
Happy babies! It is so hard to get a pic of them smiling. They could have the biggest smile in the world, but as soon as I pull out the camera to snap them, they get a serious look and study the flash.
Got the end of Lena's smile.
Got the end of Lena's smile.
Lena and Maddie were in really good moods this morning when they woke up. So was mom. I put them to bed at 8:30 last night. They just woke up at 7:45! I don't know that I could even sleep that long...well, maybe I could :)

Update
I apologize to all of you who visit this blog to have a quick escape from working at your jobs. I know I haven't posted in almost a week. The Parmentar's have had a pretty quiet week. I have officially joined the New Albany Mom's Club. We have group functions, play dates, mom's night out, and many other fun activities each month. Last week we went to our monthly meeting at the N.A. library and met some other moms and kids. Of the five families there (small turn out due to weather), three of us had twins...kinda neat. We also had a play date this Friday with other kids near the girls' age. We are the youngest, but it will be great for them when they get a little older. It is already great for mom!
As you can all tell from the pictures, the girls are still growing really well! They are sleeping better, too. I usually put them in their cribs between 8pm-10pm, and they will sleep until 5am-7am. They have been doing this for a couple weeks now. I feel like a new woman. They are so happy when they wake up for their bottles. When I put the bottle in their mouth they hardly drink, because they are smiling so much. It sure makes getting up early a lot easier. They are so darn sweet. They are learning more and more each day. They are also taking more interest in each other. They laid in the floor for about an hour one morning this week just staring at each other and "talking." Why didn't I grab the camera?? Probably because they were so occupied I ran around the house trying to get caught up on chores!
Grandma Smart was here this weekend. I took full advantage of the extra help. We all packed up and headed to the outlet mall about an hour away. Lena and Maddie were show stoppers. We moved at a slower pace, because everyone had to check out the twins. All of you that have twins understand how fascinated people are by them. That's ok, I love to show them off (so does Gma Smart)! We did some major holiday shopping, so it was a super successful shopping weekend. Thanks, mom!

Toys!!
I may be jumping the gun a little with this toy, but seeing how quickly they outgrow everything, I thought I would go ahead and get it. Lena was the first one in, but she was having no part of it! She was already a bit grouchy, so we are going to try again today at a better time. Maddie seemed to really enjoy something new. I put her in, and her eyes got so big! She just sat (kind of) and stared at everything on the tray. She really liked that she could kick her legs and push herself off the base. Maddie lasted about fifteen minutes before she had had enough. She did a good job holding her head up. Her upper body was a little wobbly, so I propped her up with a blanket. Seemed to work!

Great granddaughters
Although the girls looked sweet in their outfits, we had to dress up for a very sad occasion. We lost a very special lady last week, Chris's Grandma Parmentar. She talked and talked about her great granddaughters to everyone she knew...and probably many people she didn't know! I am so happy she was able to meet Maddie and Lena a couple weeks ago. We will miss her.
