Maddie loves to crawl over to the corner of the living room where we keep all of the toys, and she gets them all out. She turns the basket that holds all of the smaller ones upside down, and plays with each one for a couple minutes. Then, she moves on to the next toy in the pile. It keeps her occupied for quite a while. So, every day I have a pile to clean up, but for the time that she is entertained, it is well worth it!

Crawlers
I thought people wouldn't notice who was in previous crawling video. I was wrong. I have had quite a few questions about whether both girls are on the move, or if it is just Maddie. They literally started crawling the same day...one in the morning, one in the afternoon. Here is a quick video of Lena. I thought I should give her her moment in the spotlight, too!

Real meal
Last night I gave the girls their first "real meal." They had the same thing I made for Chris and I- ravioli. It was fun to see them eat something I knew tasted good! They also had grapes for dessert. They loved it all! L and M were probably just glad not to be eating baby food again. I wasn't sure how much they would eat and what it would take for them to be full. They also drop so much in their seat I don't know until I pick them up how much made it into their mouths! All in all, it was a success (and nice they could feed themselves part of dinner)!

Walk
Oops! I woke her up trying to take a good picture!
I took the girls for a walk this morning around our neighborhood, and they both ended up falling asleep about half way through- at least that is when I finally realized they were sleeping! I thought they were being awfully quiet. I took a peek, and they were both slumped over in their seats. I laid them back, and Max and I enjoyed the rest of our stroll. They are getting extremely active during the day. Both of them have figured out how to sit themselves up. This morning Maddie pulled herself up on the coffee table...what a surprise to see her standing!
Memorial Day Weekend
Look at all those teeth! Each of the girls have six teeth now. Real food, here we come!
Max thinks everyone that walks in the house is there to give him love. Michele took a time out from the kids to give the poor guy some attention.

Maddie sharing with Brayden.
Our friends, Ed and Michele, were here last weekend. It was so good to see them, and they had their little guy, Brayden, with them. He is just a few months younger than the girls. He is such a sweet baby! He is already crawling. Hopefully he gave the girls some pointers :) It was interesting to watch them all interact. Here they are playing in the floor.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Sunday was Chris's 31st birthday. We had a 7 hour drive to get home from Illinois, so for the second year in a row he had kind of a crappy birthday. We celebrated with a big breakfast Sunday morning before our drive, and we had a "makeup birthday day" on Monday.
It was his cake, so I guess this is allowed!

Reception
The wedding party coming into the reception.
The girls were in such a daze by this point. It was about two hours after their bedtime. Fortunately, they did great! Maddie even managed to smile during the wedding! They both LOVE attention! The happy couple's first dance.
