On Saturday morning I ran in my third half marathon.  I made my personal best time of 1:59:13 with a pace of 9:07 per mile.  My goal was to finish in two hours, so I barely made it...but, hey, I made it!

I forgot to mention a couple weekends ago (right before our trip to Illinois) Chris completed a Tough Mudder race (also known as "The toughest event on the planet") in northern Ohio with a couple guys from work and a friend from high school.  It was over ten miles long, and there were obstacles to overcome every half mile.

The girls think we both won our races.  We must seem pretty cool to them, right? :)

Sunday afternoon we had our neighbors over for another round of cake and opening presents.  Her new ride on toy is definitely one of her favorites from that party!

Can you believe our baby is one?!  We had a cookout for lunch to celebrate with all the Grandmas, Grandpas, and Steph and Skye.  Jolie was a little hesitant when we put the cake in front of her, but once she got a little taste there was no stopping her!  She cleaned her tray pretty quickly.  She even yelled at daddy when he took it away, so we distracted her by having her open presents.

I found Lena like this one afternoon at nap time.  Guess it was nap time for everyone.

Maddie and Lena's preschool class had a field trip to Graeter's Ice Cream to learn how it is made.  The girls were just as excited to ride the bus as they were to have ice cream.  I didn't realize they needed to have high back boosters to ride the bus, so I almost screwed up big time.  Fortunately, another mom and the preschool each had one we could borrow.  After the quick demonstration on ice cream making, the kids enjoyed their favorite flavor (at 10:30 in the morning).  Maddie had chocolate, and Lena had chocolate chip.  Their class played on the indoor playground shaped like ice cream cones and bananas before loading up and heading back to school.  It was a great trip.
 Eating Grandma's pancakes
M and L love the old rocking chair and pouting chair that my Grandma and Grandpa Henson made.
Eating yogurt while M and L tear it up on the McDonald's playground.
 Hanging with Gpa
 Playing at the park.
Uncle Danny brought the girls some flower frisbees...and licorice (which he always does, and the girls totally look forward to it every trip).
Jolie thought she was hot stuff climbing in and out of this chair on her own.
Kennedy and Elli (my high school friends Hayley and Julie's daughters born one and two months after Jolie)
Kaylin and Avery (high school friend Leah's daughters)
Amelia (grade school friend Andrea's daughter)
Jefferey (Julie's son)- he asked Maddie to be his girlfriend.  I'm pretty sure she had no clue what he was talking about, but it was so funny to watch it all from a distance.
Elli, Kennedy, Jolie (born July, June, May)
These are Ashley, Julie, Andrea, Hayley, Leah, and my kids (plus two older boys for Ashley)- what a crew!  We had a nice play date that my mom was brave enough to host.  It was so good to visit with all my old buddies and see how their beautiful children have grown.
