We sure do love a reason to celebrate around here!  Top is Father's Day (M and L helped make and decorate daddy's cookie cake), and bottom is my birthday.

Pictures from our impromptu trip to Vermilion.  We had a really bad storm two Fridays ago, and it knocked our power out.  On the second day of 90 degree weather we packed up the kids and the contents of the refrigerator and headed up to Grandma and Grandpa P's.  We got a phone call after being there about five minutes that our power was back on.  We were definitely some of the lucky ones.  Some went without for over a week- yikes!  Anyway, we had a nice overnight visit, and we got to take the girls a few places they had never been- the beach and a soda shop downtown.

 M and L finally saved enough money (Well, close enough. Mom and dad took pity and got them. It takes a seriously long time for three-year-olds to save ten bucks.) for the mermaids they have been wanting!

 Here are our last few weeks in a nutshell...we celebrated Daddy's birthday...

 mommy ran the Race for the Cure 5K with her friend Kinder...

 we went to the Founder's Day parade in New Albany...

 we went to Kalahari Waterpark in Sandusky...

 and ate lots of snacks...

 and Maddie refused to go on any slides (just the wave pool)

 we stopped by and visited with Grandma and Grandpa P...

 Maddie nearly knocked herself silly.

 Grandma Smart came to visit.  We went to the zoo,

 watched the animal show,

 rode the carousel,

 rode the train,

and wore Jolie out!

 Grandma taught us how to play Go Fish.

And we took her to our pool!
