Another weekend with Gma and Gpa Parmentar

While the men worked on installing the doors in the basement (one step closer to completion!) the girls shopped, played, ate, and visited. Like I have mentioned before, M and L love climbing! They think it is a special treat to be on the couch. They are pretty good about getting down feet first, but every once in a while they take a dive. As you can see from the last picture Grandma made a good save this weekend. Tonight Chris and I are going to move our coffee table to the basement. Last week I looked up from the kitchen because Lena was saying "up, up!" She had crawled up onto the table and was standing on it! Maddie has now joined in on the action, and I can't keep them off of it. I'm sure they will be a bit disappointed in the morning to find their new jungle gym is no longer available to climb on!

15 months

Lena would not let me take her picture, so here she is running away.

We spent the morning just playing at home. M and L had their 15 month checkup in the afternoon. Three shots (one was the first round of the flu shot) this time. The shots weren't too bad, but the wait to see the doctor was. The rooms are pretty small, so the girls hated being cooped up for so long. They were already throwing a fit by the time the shots came. Somehow, after having a real reason to cry, they settled right down!

Halloween weekend

Grandma playing with one of the girls.
Both of them are doing something they are not suppose to...Maddie unloading the diapers, and Lena playing with the TV.
We were playing pat-a-cake, and they were really getting into it!

Grandma and the girls. Somehow we managed another trip without getting Grandpa in a single picture! I think he always disappears when the camera comes out :)
We went up to Vermilion for the weekend to visit with Chris' mom and dad. M and L got to dress up one more time and run around outside like wild animals. They loved playing in the pile of leaves in the front yard.

Dad being silly with his little ladies.

Last Halloween

Happy Halloween!

One of my sweet little monkeys (this photo got a little out of order, but it is so cute I wanted to leave it on!). By the way, it is really hard to tell who is who in these costumes. I even have to get right in their faces to see who I am talking to!

We have an early Trick or Treating night here in New Albany. So tonight we dressed up the girls up and handed out lots of candy. Well, actually, the girls just ran around the yard, and Chris and I chased them. Chris would run back up to the big bowl of candy when Trick or Treaters came by and toss some chocolate at them. I ended up taking M and L inside about half way through, and we watched Dora. Daddy sat outside and passed out the rest of our candy. I did find out that these are the perfect outfits for wobbly toddlers learning to walk outside. They would fall on the concrete, but we have no skinned hands or knees!

Climbers

This is the girls' new favorite game. We pull most of the cushions off the couch, and let them climb until they are worn out. Safe enough for mom and dad, and tons of fun for Maddie and Lena- best of both worlds! The only problem now is they want to climb on everything. I guess that is a typical child though, isn't it?
