I adopted Allie the year I graduated from college- 2002. We think she was about a year old at the time, so that makes her about 8 now. Recently, she has stopped grooming herself. Her fur was getting all tangled, and she just seemed miserable. Some people would argue that she has always been a grouchy cat, but not to me! Poor thing hasn't been to the vet in ages (she is an indoor cat) let alone to a groomer. Desperate times called for desperate measures. I took her yesterday. Here she is sporting her summer look. Chris has volunteered to shave her in a couple months in order to save us 40 bucks. We will see if that really happens! She has seemed happier in the last 48 hours than she has in the last 9 months. The pets don't receive near as much love and attention as they used to...wonder why?!?!
