 When dad went home mom and I headed to Chicago for some girl time with Steph before her big day in August.

We sure do love a reason to celebrate around here!  Top is Father's Day (M and L helped make and decorate daddy's cookie cake), and bottom is my birthday.

Pictures from our impromptu trip to Vermilion.  We had a really bad storm two Fridays ago, and it knocked our power out.  On the second day of 90 degree weather we packed up the kids and the contents of the refrigerator and headed up to Grandma and Grandpa P's.  We got a phone call after being there about five minutes that our power was back on.  We were definitely some of the lucky ones.  Some went without for over a week- yikes!  Anyway, we had a nice overnight visit, and we got to take the girls a few places they had never been- the beach and a soda shop downtown.

 First year of vacation bible school.  They LOVED it!

 She is so ready to climb this thing.  She just needs to figure out how to walk to it.
