Funny story:
While I was sitting at the kitchen table yesterday Maddie sprints by heading to the bathroom.  I ask her if she needs help, and she tells me no.  So I stay put.  Then Lena runs by into the bathroom.  The door slams.  I hear Maddie tell her to sit on the stool (they call it a "school").

M- "Lena, you sit on school and cheer for me."
L- "Ok.  Go, Maddie, go!  Go, Maddie, go!"
M and L- "Yay!  Pee pees!"
I hear the toilet flush and then some shuffling.
L- "Maddie, now you sit on school and cheer for me."
M- "Ok!"
M and L- "Go, Lena, go!  Go, Lena, go!  Yay!!!!"

Toilet flushes again, and they both emerge carrying their panties needing me to help get them back on.  They are seriously funny, and they don't even know it.
So let me just complain for a minute, and then we'll get to the good stuff.  I am sick...again!  I have another sinus infection, and have been out of commission for the last few days.  Chris got it this time, too.  He had to leave work to go to the doctor, and it really takes a lot to get him to leave work.  Thank goodness my parents were here this weekend to help take care of the girls.  As you can imagine, there are absolutely no pictures from their visit- boo!  Next time.  Chris is now back at work, and I started another round of antibiotics yesterday.  Hopefully we'll kick this soon.
Now for the good news...Chris got a big promotion at work!!  We are so proud of him.  He is now a Director of Stores at Abercrombie.  He overlooks all of Canada and the East Coast.  We should have him at home a little more now, so the girls and I are beyond excited about that.  This is a much deserved pat on the back.  Way to go, babe!

This is M and L's new favorite game to play in the mornings..."She in trouble!"  They get this from Diego or Dora (I think).  There is always someone that is "in trouble" and needs help from their friends.  So, the kids push the cushions off one of our couches, dive down into them, and one pretends she is "in trouble."  The other runs to me and says, "Maddie (or Lena) in trouble.  I go help her!"  And she pulls the one that is in the cushions out- over and over and over again.  All of this while in their undies.  They tell me they want to be "maked."  Since we are still getting over our stomach bugs, colds, ear infections, and sinus infections we haven't left the house much lately.  It is good to see them getting creative.  All we have had to sacrifice for their entertainment is one of our couches.  Never, ever buy a cream colored couch if you have children (I actually purchased it when I lived by myself in Chicago).  We don't mind them playing a little rough on this one since it has already taken such a beating.  I think a leather couch is one of the next items on our home wish list (easy to wipe right off!).
By the way, Maddie is 100% attached to Pooh.  She has always liked him, but now she rarely puts him down.  I let her bring him in the car, but he doesn't usually get past there for my fear of us losing him.  I'm afraid within the next six months or so his head is going to pop off.
