Little piggies!

Well, pig tails, that is. My friend Katy (whose daughter Maya is exactly the same age as M and L) put the girls' hair up for them a couple days ago. The squirmed while she did it, but they didn't even notice once it was done. I have tried every barrette out there, but they just rip everything right out. There is still no solution for getting their growing bangs out of their eyes, but I think this is just adorable. Maya looks super cute like this, because she has a little longer hair in the back and short little bangs in the front. This was my first attempt at the pig tails, and, as you can see, I still need some practice.

Lipstick

Here is Maddie applying her "lipstick." What a little lady! Only fourteen months old and won't leave the house without her lipstick :)

Bye bye

The girls are trying to say some new words. Finally, something other than mama and dada! Lena waves her arm furiously while saying bye bye. I think Maddie picked up her new phrase from my every day use. She says "no, no" while pointing her little finger. Oops, I didn't realize I said it that often! She also says river...odd, I know. It mades sense though- Chris's mom and dad have a dog named River. She has been mumbling that word for a while now, but she gets clearer every day. I will have to get her on video saying that next time.

The best brothers and sister anyone could ask for.
We love each other- most of the time :)

David and Laurie's Wedding

David waiting on his bride.
Andrew- best man.
The ring bearers.
The flower girls.
Saying their vows.
Brittian and Junior lighting the unity candle. There was hardly a dry eye in the place during this ceremony. Laurie's father conducted the service, and when they talked about the kids lighting the candle to signify their families becoming one, pretty much everone lost it. It was really touching.
The wedding chapel was really pretty. It was called the Willow Creek Glass Chapel, and it was in the middle of Iowa farmland. I have never seen anything like it!
Dad in deep thought.

Pre-wedding

At the airport on the way to Omaha. We had a layover in St. Louis where we ended up being delayed. I must say, overall, the girls did pretty good on their first flight. About 10-15 minutes of crying from Columbus to St. Louis, but nothing other than that. They were just tired of being held down all day!
Playing around in the hotel.
David and Laurie had everyone over the night before the wedding to celebrate at their house. They ended up moving everything into their kitchen and garage, because the temperature got pretty cool. It was great to just sit around, eat chili, have desserts, warm by the fire, and catch up with family. Here is Maddie with Uncle Andrew.
Brittian sharing her brownie with Aunt Steph...
...and Aunt Jenny.
I know it's blurry, but this is the only picture of my cousin Meredith. She was great with the kids!
Cousins- Jalynn, Lena, Brit

Grandpa with Maddie and Richard. He is the only male grandchild! Someone better produce a boy soon before he is taken over by women!
My brother David (groom) introducing Maddie to their puppy. She loved it. He was licking her face, and she giggled and giggled.

Laurie finally relaxing!
